Junior Front-End Web Developer

ALTISSIA®, at the cutting edge of innovative language learning, is looking for a full-time front-end junior web developer/designer for the development of its e-learning platform www.altissia.com

The successful candidate will :

• assist the IT Team in developing and maintaining ALTISSIA's learning platform on the front-end side
• participate in the development and maintenance of ALTISSIA's public websites, using a Content Management System (currently Drupal)
• participate in the design and optimization of user interfaces
• handle and manipulate multimedia files (image, video, sound) for the development of new course modules or for the maintenance of existing modules .

The necessary professional tools will be provided to ensure accomplishment of the above-listed tasks.

Your profile

• You have an IT or webdesign degree (bachelor or master). You have just graduated or have an experience of 1/2 years in web development.
• You are passionate about user web experience and you have an excellent knowledge of HTML, Javascript and CSS.
• Any knowledge of Java, PHP, Drupal, Photoshop/Indesign, Actionscript (Flash) will also be much appreciated.
• Any experience in e-learning and in Learning Management Systems (like Moodle, Claroline, Dokeos,..) is certainly an asset.
• You are highly motivated, well-organized, pro-active and you are able to manage tight deadlines.
• You enjoy working in a team as well as managing projects autonomously.
• You are interested in language learning and you are at ease in French and English.
• You are willing to work full-time at ALTISSIA’s headquarters, situated in Louvain-la-Neuve.
